Zap-A-Graph™ is an easy-to-use mathematics graphing application tool for your Macintosh computer. This software is appropriate for all high school mathematics courses.
Zap-A-Graph™ allows students to interact directly with on-screen data, to manipulate graphic functions, and to discover mathematical relationships.
In Zap-A-Graph™, you can use pull-down menus to graph a point, and equations including the Line, Parabola, Cubic, Quartic, Circle, Ellipse, Hyperbola, Second Degree, Sine, Cosine, Tangent, Exponential, Logarithmic, Rational, and Composite. Once you have your graph, you can:
• produce a table of values
• find roots
• print your graph
• make a MacPaint or PICT file graphic for copying to other software applications,
e.g. Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, LXR•Test
• display derivatives, anti-derivatives and tangent lines
• shrink, expand, reflect, rotate, translate or stretch your graph
• move the axes for a better display
Zap-A-Graph™ is versatile. It:
• lets you put more than one graph on the screen
• lets you find graphical solutions to a system of equations
• lets you analyze the second degree equation of conics in Mathematics Level Four
• lets you analyze translations, reflection and rotation eg. to trigonometry equations
• lets you make a family of curves
• lets you set your own scale
• lets you modify an equation or graph with the absolute value, reciprocal square root
or power
• allows you to click and hold the mouse to get the (x,y) coordinates of the cursor's
location
